DN GOLD CUP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
"DN Gold Cup is the only truly international event in ice boating making it the toughest, most competitive regatta in the world of hard water sailing. It began in 1973 when Estonian sailor, Ain Vilde, won the first DN Gold Cup sailed on Gull Lake in Michigan. The next year, North American sailor, Tim Woodhouse DN US1812, won the second Gold Cup regatta held in Zergrze, Poland. The regatta alternates between North America and Europe. I have been fortunate enough to win this regatta five times beginning in Finland in 1998 and most recently in Putnam, Illinois on Senachwine Lake in 2011. Here are the recaps from each Gold Cup win."
